 Rental Policy

How to Pick Up your Car

In order to pick up the car from The Airport please come to the JetCar Airport office. As you exit the airport building look across the road and you will see a big sign that writes JETCAR Rental. That’s how easy it is to find us! Our airport office is just across the road from the main airport entrance gate. One of our Reps will be there to show you to your car.

If you are picking up from a Port in Zakynthos please meet our Rep who will be holding an orange JetCar sign by the ticket box.

If you are picking up from your hotel accommodation please wait for us at reception or outside your private home/villa rental around the time of pick up.

In all instances please make sure that we are able to reach you via the preferred way of contact that you have chosen when completing the booking (WhatsApp, messenger (please include profile name), iMessage etc)

General Terms and Condition of your car rental.

Please make sure to check our rental terms to see if your pick up and drop off location is a free location or an additional charge location.

THE USE OF THIS WEBSITE IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF USE.

CAR RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our rental includes - -VAT - TAX-- The VAT (24%) and all TAXES are included in the car price. --AIRPORT SURCHARGES-- Airport charges are included in the rates. --UNLIMITED MILEAGE-- Unlimited Mileage is included. --THIRD PARTY LIABILITY-- Third party liability is included. -- DELIVERY / COLLECTION-- There is a free delivery/collection service available at the airport and all other locations that extend within a five kilometer range from the main Laganas car rental office or the city centre so long as the delivery/collection is within office hours (i.e. 9:00 am - 21:30 pm). Delivery and collection outside city limits is charged additionally. Delivery or Collection outside office hours is charged at 25.00 Euros + VAT. --COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW)—limits the renter’s financial liability to an excess which is preauthorized on collection of the car, (depending on the car group) CDW does not cover tires, punctures, windscreens and undercarriage damage. Also collision damage caused by alcohol or drug abuse as well as traffic violations are not covered by this insurance.



Additional services and insurances can be purchased locally.
These include: --FULL DAMAGE WAIVER (FDW)—Reduces the excess on the CDW:: Euros 13.00 per rental day. FDW does not cover tires, punctures, windscreens and undercarriage damage. Also collision damage caused by alcohol or drug abuse as well as traffic violations are not covered by this insurance. --PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI)-- Available at 5.50 Euros per rental day. Covers passengers for medical expenses. For loss of life or permanent disablement covers driver and passengers up to the amount of 8,800.00 Euros for the driver and each passenger of the rental company vehicle. Aggregate indemnity for each accident is limited to 16,000.00 Euros. --BABY SEAT-- Baby seats from 1 yrs - 8 yrs, are available at 3.57 Euros per day. --CROSS BORDER POLICY-- It is not permitted to cross the borders of Greece. Cars can cross the borders of the island only by special request and with the car rental company's prior written authorization. In case of leaving the island with the rental car, additional road service charges and/or kilometer charges apply. --ADDITIONAL DRIVER-- For each additional driver there is an extra insurance charge of 4.00 Euros per day --AFTER HOURS-- For pick up or delivery after opening hours (21:30 p.m. - 9:00 a.m.) 25.00 Euros + VAT per rental.

REFUELING POLICY:

We operate a same - same policy with regards to fuel. The renter is expected to return the rented vehicle with as much fuel as he/she received it with. Returning the vehicle with less fuel will result in charging for the missing fuel as well as a 7.00 Euros charge for the refueling service.

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

All drivers must show a valid EU or international driving license issued at least one year before the rental. All renters must hold the car rental voucher at time of pickup.

DRIVERS AGE-- Minimum drivers age is 23 years. There is no maximum driver age as long as the renter holds a valid driving license. Drivers 21-23 years of age can rent a car by purchasing the young driver age insurance at 13.00 euros per day. This qualifies young drivers for the cdw insurance cover. The FDW insurance cover is not available for drivers 21-23 years old.

When completing a booking on JetCarZakynthos.com you will be asked to supply your name, an email address, your home country and a mobile telephone number. This assists us in processing your booking, to improve our services and provide you with these more effectively. We also collect an IP address that will only identify your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and will not contain any information about you as an individual. This information is then used to assist us in understanding the origins of our site traffic. To protect information such as credit card details if any security is needed we use secure socket technology encryption software.
